I will say that I originally came into this game expecting mechanics to be exactly the same as the first, but I've come to terms with this being another game and therefore wanting to explore different options.
If you're going into this game expecting an exact copy of Dying Light mechanics, you should probably just stick with the first game. DL2 explores classes, having you equip clothing which all have random stats. Full sets will give benefits to certain fighting styles, such as medic being mostly focused on parkour-based attacks.

I've began getting into the whole class thing recently, which is usually something I'm not huge on for the most part.

That being said, I do have criticisms and feedback to give:

Where in the first game you would always been on the lookout for places to climb and jump, I'm always looking for ways to AVOID climbing or jumping.
This is really only an issue at the very beginning of the game, and I also just wanted to explore around first, which is very difficult. I don't think that should be so much to ask, but I also see that ignoring the starting quests to get skill points is detrimental to the starting experience.

There's no way to turn off bloom or post-processing without mods
It really feels like you're only meant to play the game at night time, because of the huge number of places filled with infected during the day. Granted, going in as a tank class with 2H weapons will seriously combat the horde. Additionally I've found that I can just stand on shelves and the zombies after me will give up and just stand there screaming at me. Sometimes something as simple as trying to climb up something, in my most recent case, the GRE building to get after Hubert, is extremely difficult because you can't see what you're trying to climb very well. I really hope that this overuse of bloom and other effects will be looked back on as a fad.

Auto-climbing often leads to you grabbing onto a small ledge or object you didn't even see when dropping down
This is extremely annoying and happens very often. Some way to disable grabbing ledges without pressing space would be greatly appreciated.

The main area leaves a bad taste in my mouth, taking my least liked area, Old Town, and making it the whole level
This is just mostly personal preference here, I could see why others may prefer Old Town over Slums. While I can understand a shift in design, this new "Old Town" is the definition of a green hell, and everything seems to blend together. Unlocking safe houses and assigning zones does somewhat remedy this.

This game was awesome! I played it on stream and had a blast.
My absolute favorite level was where the faceless zombies slowly walked and crawled at you from the darkness. If there was an endless mode of that level I'd constantly trying to get high scores on just that!
Overall short but more than made up for with multiple difficulties and general fun that this game offers.

The most recent update seems to have resolved the memory leak issues I any many others were having, reopening the doors to hours of fun once again! Spent 16 hours on a server with my friends driving into ravines, building a sick base, and dying. Lots of dying actually
please help

I bought this game and ended up playing it for 8 hours with my friends in one sitting. We did all kinds of things from puzzles to Warhammer 40K. This game surprised me with how much it had to offer in just the base game alone, and on top of that with some of the greatest workshop you'll be able to play virtually anything, anywhere!
