Barely any active servers, but you can spam the tank spawning node on the dev commentary map to kill everyone else :D

Fun game where you spectate your fren doing a god run with 20 firework bundles and corrupted mushrooms on monsoon, after you died to dunno what, and can't get more items, so you'll just die faster with every stage and he'll get all your loot for an even godder run.

If you have no friends, fear not, the pub servers are good enough. I once lost a possible friend by being closed for "inactive lobby" because we just chatted, watch out for that.

Overall, it's a sophisticated TF2 spy simulator, with less trickstabs and facial animations, and more outright lying to everyone.

A handmade 3D platformer. If you don't like the story and quests you gotta like the look of it.

It's a relaxing time-taker with good levelling-up system. It doesn't require any knowledge about trucks, you can just steer with your mouse (most people probably do). With experience you get even longer and more restrictive jobs. Then get more money, buy garages, hire people, and profit.
There are 3 map extending DLCs - East Europe, Scandinavia and France + tens more of national and feature adding ones. Developers really put effort into making them, very worth buying.

• + Challenge yourself! Example: disabled navigation - learn to remember city plans and read highway signs.
• + Get achievements!

For some it may get stale, for some - never boring, but as always, you have to experience it yourself to know.

There's also a very popular mod for multiplayer - TruckersMP. Sometimes toxic drivers inside the main map, DLC regions are fine.

It was made by NASA, and since then, no update has been released.
Had to be a space station simulator but turned into a Text To Speech simulator.

As a very fresh FPS player I got my first game in April'16 because I've seen it's very good looking, friendly, and popular... and played it like everyone did.
But then appeared an update.
An update freaturing no quickplay, longer waiting times, and the addicting button.
A huge hate wave everywhere in the internet has blown the feeling of a great game right of me.
I've seen the game started to die, which already did earlier (I just didn't notice as I was a tiny gibus then).

I realized I came here too late.
I missed all the Gmod memes and stuff to watch.
I missed all the exploits to discover.
I missed all the things to do.
I didn't even miss them because I had no internet back in those times :p

But, you know?... I don't care.

I can make my own videos.
I can find new exploits on these new maps (but frontier still has much to discover :p)
I can do a lot more things, even make a new plugin or gamemode.

For me the game isn't dying.

For me the game yet begins.

I had no idea what to write. Hope it gave you some hope :)

And for everyone saying "This game is dying": It's not dying:

• It's a vicious cycle of new players coming and old players quitting. (For the gibus haters)
  
• Valve is trying to squeeze out the last money from it. (For the new version haters)
  
• Someone can make a mod so the game looks like in the old times. (Also for new version haters)
