For the game itself, here's my review: instant classic. Buy this if you can. 100% recommended.
The rest is stuff about the ports.

The only reason I have 7 hours in this game is because probably 392048320942 hours were spent using source ports.
And I may not approve of the DOSBox port, but honestly? I have no clue what all the fuss is about the new Bethesda.net version. Sure, it's stupid the option exists, and that it takes up 500 mb, but in comparison to CoD:MW2019 it doesn't feel like ♥♥♥♥. And the gameplay honestly isn't that bad.

I've owned this game for a long time (most of my hours are probably on my alt, too lazy to check) and I'm disappointed in myself for not giving this game a go again years ago.
Loads of fun. My only complaint is getting banned for toxicity. I haven't been banned yet, but it sounds pretty stupid to get banned for cursing someone out.

It feels like Counter-Strike: Source but in VR, and that opens up a ♥♥♥♥ ton of potential.
I don't really have any complaints with this game. All I can say is that it's a ♥♥♥♥ ton of fun, and I have no clue why it's still in Early Access.

-- STEAM EDITION -- The Steam edition, while functional, isn't exactly the best way to play the game. The CD music is gone, the resolution is downscaled so everything looks pixelated, and it uses a 24-year-old rendering engine. It's obviously not gonna be super compatible with modern-day-windows.However, the GLQuake version is a better way to experience it. Except it doesn't ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ work.Somehow, someway, it broke, and maybe it's just a me thing, but I have tried it on 3 different computers, so I doubt it.The GOG version, from what I have heard, is better, but I'm not sure myself since I don't own it. Download a source port after getting the Steam version and you're set.-- GAME ITSELF --Masterpiece. To this day, it is still used as the roots for a lot of 3D games. Even though the levels can feel maze-like at times, the movement makes up for it since you are easily able to traverse it. The movement makes you feel like you are in 100% control of the game, even when you aren't. The weapons are fun to use. There isn't much else to say. This game is absolutely worth $5.

What else is better than getting 2 of your friends with you in a game and using mob mentality to kick every single player until you win?

Nothing.

Worth your money, but I have a few complaints:
1. The UI is clunky. Needs some tweaking.
2. A bit confusing to first-time users. Better tutorials should be present.
3. There isn't a whole lot to do.
It's still a lot of fun though, so I still recommend it.
Hopefully these issues are solved with the passing of early access.

A must have. It does all things South Park is infamous for and well.
Two problems, through: one game-breaking, and the other a personal thing.
1. At one point, during Dr. Mafesto's lab, the game has a good chance of softlocking by not letting any characters move. This can be fixed by Alt+Tabbing or Shift+Tabbing.
2. Unsatisfying ending. I would have loved to kick the crap out of Cartman, chop off his hand, etc., but instead it ended in a semi-cheesy way. I won't elaborate for spoiler reasons.
Even with these issues, this game is great, and if you don't have it already, get it or wait for a sale.

i ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hate this game

This is an unfortunate port for one of the greatest games of all time.
If you're someone who has played with source engine games and at least one of the Half-Life games, go ahead and buy it if you have cash to spare.
If you love messing with the source engine, or love Garry's Mod, buy it.
Otherwise, don't touch it.

Oh, and if you're photosensitive, DO NOT BUY THIS!
This game has strange glitches throughout the game (presumably from lighting bugs) that causes a lot of things to flash red and yellow.

This game is great for someone like myself, but for most people, this is a bad choice.
For that reason, I cannot recommend it.
