I don't think you understand my point.

We're forced to usa Uplay regardless of where we buy our Ubisoft games. If we have to use it one way or another, how is not buying through Uplay a good deal? If we had the option to use it or not after buying on Steam or Epic, then sure. But that's unfortunately not the case.

So that's honestly the way to go whether you like Uplay or not. Most people here don't like Uplay but we still have to use it anyway, so there's that.

Well this is only going to save me money because I simple will not buy it until it comes to Steam. I own must Ubisoft games all on Steam, loved the Division but never purchased the Division 2 and same will be true for this game.

Tbh, you're not missing too much from not playing TD2 right away. It does improve on some things the first did but it's also a step backwards in others, such as the atmosphere, the story, and QOL features.

Yes we have to got go through it anyway but it change nothing to buy it on steam uplay stay in the back running silently and your both use the fonctionnality of both store So it a better deal to have it on steam
