"We could not create a sign in token."
I bought GTA V during the holiday sale. Unfortunately I haven't been able to launch the game first I got the "unable to access rockstar servers..." and now "We could not create a sign in token. Please try again later. If the error persists, please vist the Rockstar support website"

Now for the last issue I already tried this:

- Reinstalled the game
- Verified my game cache
- Disabled my antivirus
- opted out of the Steam beta

I know of this fix: Windows Firewall > Advanced Settings > Outbound Rules > Disable the GTA V.exe but I don't have GTA V.exe only GTAVLauncher.exe

For the other issue I did this:

- Changed my DNS server to Google's 8.8.8.8./8.8.4.4 and restared my pc I have since changed back because it made no diffrence
- Flushed my DNS resolver cache
- Verified my game cache (I did this several times this week in the hope it would fix my problems)
- Started port forwarding (80,443,8080) I read somewhere these need to be open.
- enabled UPnP
- Deleted my Rockstar folders both in program files and x86 and installed them again once via Steam apps --> commen --> ... and once within Steam
- Also; my docs / rockstar games - renamed to rockstar games-OLD
- Changed my Social Club password
- Disabled IPv6 (this also made no difference so it's currently enabled again)

Could be I'm forgetting a few things..

At this point I'm getting pretty desperate tried every fix I could find but no success so far. If any of you amazing wizards could help me out that would be great.

Pay attention to the Netherland region DNS section- (it is working for many in Belgium too)
As far as ports - TCP Ports: 80, 443 and UDP Ports: 6672, 61455 thru 61458.
If you don't get it working I can peek at with TV~

I did this just now no difference.
Bear in mind the DNS might not exactly - be the fix. You might have multiple problems. Simply noticing your profile says Belgium and it wouldn't be odd if you had the same dns issues too.

So, I would definitely put them and use them while you do further testing. As mentioned in the link - other things like antivirus/firewalls can cause problems - even if disabled. Sometimes you can add the gtav .exe's to exclusions - sometimes not. If you are disabling the antivirus/firewall - if it turns the windows firewall back on - you'll need to check that too (or test disable). Windows firewall inbound rules for gtav, should be verified enabled too.
(quite a few in the last month that had one/some disabled)

There shouldn't be any gtav blocking rules in outbound. None for gta5, or gtavlauncher.
(unless you are modding... but..recently purchased, no play time... I digress >_> )

My bad it's not in outbound but in Inbound.

Had my brother over and he can play GTA V just fine so I guess it isn't DNS, port, router,etc problem must be something on my pc that is causing this.

With both my antivirus/firewall and Windows Defender disabled I keep getting the same error

Did you do the rest of the steps in the above link, and moved on to the link at the bottom of it?

Did host.test and a full system scan going to try adwcleaner next.

Edit: adwcleaner did remove some unwanted programs but this made no difference for GTA V.

"We could not create a sign in token." - Same problem here and no solution worked so far
I had this problem recently. I had to use the Social Club overlay to delete my local profile (Home -> Settings -> Profile -> Delete Local Profile), then delete the folder in C:\users\<username>\Documents\Rockstar Games\GTA V\Profiles\ .

I did a fresh install anyway prior to this (not a minor task given the game size!) which didn't make any difference. However after I'd deleted both the local profile AND deleted the directory, the first subsequent login worked immediately. The game then synced online savegames and progress to my local profile and I carried on.

It took a long time to figure that out though...
Shouldn't have - was one of the first few steps given - rename my documents / rockstar games to rockstar games-OLD. Which is the equivalent of deleting it and recreating it upon gtav launch. Sadly, it isn't the only cause or fix. =\

Either way, it is working now.

did you solve your problem?
I had thus stupid problem for an entire week. I purchased the game om steam and could not play it for a week. I tried every single thing on Rockstar Support as well as every thread out there. None of it worked. Except for one fix that was not even directed to fix my problem. It was so simple aswell.

You can try two things.

1.Either uninstall your Antivirus completely(You can Reinstall if you change the settings I am about to give you)

Or 2. You can try change a single setting on your anti virus. - I have Kerspersky Internet Security, but I am sure other AntiVirus will also work similarly.

Disable scanning of encrypted connections.



Open Kaspersky.
Click on 'Settings'.
Click on 'Additional' on the left.
Click on 'Network' on the right.
Uncheck 'Scan encrypted connections'.
Click the Back arrow in the upper left twice to return to the main window."



This solved all my Origin Game Client access issues. I recommend anyone who has Kaspersky Internet Security software try this solution. This "may" also work with other internet security and/or virus protection software. It's at least worth a shot trying this, if your particular software allows you to disable encrypted connections.

Like said above this fix was actuqlly for origin client which it fixed for me aswell. Hope it helps!

Thank you for your solution. It worked for me. I cant login via launcher for Red Redemption 2. But after your solution it worked! :)
