Is this game Cross Platform?

I ask because my nephew really wants me to play a computer game with him but he has a PS4 and I have a PC. Can we play together on this and if so, is there any form of voice communication in the game or would we need to setup an out of game communication?

I found info that latest patch added full crossplay between consoles and PC.

On my last match there was someone talking about how using a controller is complicated, and too much imprecise. So I think yes, it's crossplatform

It is cross platform but console players are at a severe disadvantage since the controller lacks the button capability of a keyboard. I run out of keys on my keyboard for controls, I dare to think of how a controller would deal with all the controls.

Yes, crossplay between PC and PS4 is possible since years actually - PS4 players have a * next to their name

I was afraid this might be the issue. My nephew is 10 and plays on a PS4 while I play on a PC. I have a feeling he will end up being shot down over and over again and not be able to enjoy it playing against PC players. Sadly there don't seem to be a lot of decent games that are cross platform.

I'm not familiar with PlayStation, I wasn't aware that is even a possibility. Is anything special required to do so as I am not even in the same country as my nephew so I cannot be there to help him sort it out?

no idea, only know it can be done as i was thinking a ps4 with keybd and mouse would be a quick, cheap replacement if my comp blew up.

then I read and I might be wrong that I can use a ps4 account on pc but not the other way.

quick read says it's plug and play.

The controllers aren't as clunky as some would think. I agree that it's not the best for flying aircraft, but it'd downright serviceable for tank battles. Not to mention that the recently introduced "multi-function menu" helps out controller players a lot.
