Fix for Crashing Identified
From the application exe file, right click and select "properties", go to the compatability Tab and set it to run with Windows 8 compatability. Close the Properties window and go play the game like normal. I haven't had any crashes since making this change last night.

What seems to have fixed it for me, was to ensure the entire game is downloaded by selecting the option in the launcher and just waiting for the download to finish. Haven't had a crash since, but never know.

Don't pretend like this is some kind of miracle cure. It might fix *some* crashes for *some* people, but it's not a silver bullet.
