Into the Radius.

while some things are still kind of....wonky. such as the body turning when you need to look down at your pouches. or the game optimisation being a bit...ehhh.

the game does what it said it would. and achieves its goal in a very very good way
the game has lovely visuals. they are somewhat basic. sure. but for what it is, its pretty. especially as you explore further into the game and get deeper into the radius.

the selection of guns are brilliant. both soviet/slavic guns and western. it has a healthy amount of variety between weapons which is always important to suit the style you desire to play aswell as a tweak able options for the environment for each of its difficulty settings. such as changing things whilst still playing on normal.

into the radius does difficulty scaling very well, once your feeling brave to venture deeper. you will come across tougher enemy's. and in doing this. venturing deeper, you will start to see the tougher enemy spawn more often in early sections of the game where low level mindless enemy would spawn. but remember. its all up to you on when they start appearing, which i think is done very well. it doesnt shove the player in the deep end with weights around their ankles and forcing them not to drown. it gets in the deep end with you and supports you until your ready. however DO NOT mistake this for friendship or handholding. because friendship, is a myth. you have to understand the game is still very much against you. but it does its best to scale with you. and i love that about this game. its mechanics are amazing. the gun control is great. the sounds are lovely and the models are beautiful.

the game itself takes ...15ish? hours to complete. and thats on a lower difficulty doing the bare minimum of missions. i.e just doing the story missions. which is pretty damn decent for the price of 23 smackeroons.

my only issues with this game are the following:
Optimisation. it struggles to get 60 fps in some areas.
im running
Ryzen 5 3600 6 core cpu
Nvidia MSI Geforce GTX 1660 TI Overclocked edition
32gb ddr4 3200 ram.

so i should be getting a solid 60fps on the lower settings. but i dont. so that is an issue

another massive issue i feel that needs to be adressed:
THE ENDING OF THE GAME
the ending of the game is awful. somtimes you have to fight tooth and nail. and theres been plenty of times where ive done that. only to have a ending thats..just awful....you do the ending. and it puts you right back to the HQ into iron man mode. and thats it. nothing else.

all in all. into the radius is a fantastic game. and i do hope the devs will work on it more.

Coop. that would be good fun.
More areas.
