A murdering slitherpath. Break your way into a New Horizon, from the facility that holds you as a lab test experiment. Show the humans, what you are, and at great length make them fear you immediately. As a sentient amorphous creature with no story of your own that "it" or the humans may know; come to flashback in time what may be true of you. And become the most cunning yet terrifying form in existence!

Carrion offers the players a perspective of being the monster, in a concentrated Metroid-vania way. This game doesn't help guide you and there is no map. I found myself lost like a child wandering in a mazelike mansion.
The facility is surely set to keep you in upon all the seal corridors.
The game probably could have set up some deadly traps but meh, the humans they only interested in studying you.
It's amazing what size you start off as, and the size you actually can achieve. By far, some will finish the game in 3 t0 4 hours, not I, took me 7 to 8 and that's restarting it and playing the ending a few times. The game is best played all the way through as you can forget what the heavens you was doing or where you suppose to go. So speedrunners will have fun with this one. Also, $20 bucks can be steep for 2D Pixel art collection, but this is a game; perhaps get when on sale.

Anyhow, I had a thrill with it and love to see more like it. It's tentacles are bit reminisce of the Deep Rising movie by Stephen Sommers albeit a bit too bloody red which is the color of our Blob mixed with Thing creature.
And this is where some may jest and boast, it is a copy of this or that. For whatever that matter, try to see the prospect of a good game, sit, watch 2D animation and how the creature moves and interacts. You're playing a horror movie and you are that Creature or Are You?
