Beat Saber is an incredible experience that brings back the joys of classic rhythm games and combines them with light sabers. On paper, this sounds ridiculous... though the execution is actually quite amazing. Here are some pros and cons regarding the gameplay.

- Fairly small selection (Optional DLC)
- Mainly OST (No custom songs without mods)
- Early Access with DLC

Without mods, Beat Saber is well worth the $20 in my opinion. Expert+ includes unforgiving difficulty to newer players, and the free selection of songs still provide a fair amount of time before becoming stale. After sinking a decent chunk of time into Beat Saber, I can say that there is always a nice milestone for those wanting to improve or look for something to do. From finish a song, to even getting a full combo on Expert, there is always goals to work towards for even the most skilled players. There is also the campaign which is a great time killer or easy way to improve for newer players. Makes me jealous that I didn't have this function when I started.

As of right now, I fully recommend Beat Saber at full price. The recent update broke majority of the mods, leaving just the base game. Although the mods increase the replayability and functionality, vanilla Beat Saber is an amazing must grab game for anyone who owns a VR set. There is no reason not to have this in your Steam library.
