I feel that it's a crime that this is not getting as much attention as it deserves. Chracters are Great, Music's Great, Atmosphere's Great, and that Story ooh it's Meta. GOTY 2016 Truly creative and innovative experience.

I think it’s about time I accepted my niche... Meta narratives complete me. I find myself looking for new one’s every chance I get and although this is not my favorite of these types of games and I’ve seen other games that manage to pull off a story like this better it is still oh so worthy of love.

More to the point, though people will say that the first half is slow, but it is absolutely critical for the buildup needed to catch you off guard if your playing this with no prerequisite knowledge. Besides that I enjoy visual novels so I may have a bias on that front regardless I still see it as a necessary devil to overcome in order to experience the games true narrative.

Would have been my game of the year if not for Persona 5 and Night in the Woods.
