Personality

Makoto is, in all honesty, pretty unreliable when it comes to actually doing work. He's the kind of person who'd say "tomorrow" and the next day, it still is "tomorrow" until the very last second. And even then it is a question whether it gets done or not. He does not inspire others. He is not some paragon who'd go out of his way to help the poor or spend time with the elderly. He's not even particularly sociable.

However, he is a good friend, if you even manage to befriend him. Despite being generally a lazy otaku, he would stand up for his friends, consequences notwithstanding. Sure, he may be unreliable with his own work, but if he tells you he'd do something for you, you can count on it happening.

And while he does not get scared from horror movies or scary video games, he is kind of cowardly. He wouldn't go to a graveyard at night, or a forest for that matter. In fact, he prefers staying in when it gets dark. He can't be goaded into going inside a "haunted house" or anything supernatural like that. Even though he'd like to think he doesn't believe in the supernatural, there's this tiny flicker of doubt inside of him that would make his knees go weak and his legs tremble.

Is he creative? No. He likes going to conventions, such as Comiket, but he'll never in a million years be able to make his own cosplay. Perhaps he'll find a fellow enthusiast who can help him someday, however. But other than the conventions, he generally stays inside to watch anime and read manga. Play video games and the such. It's no wonder he's never gotten himself a girlfriend.

All in all, he's no special person. Not some swell guy everyone loves talking to. But he is a nice person, in general, once you get to know him. And that is all he cares to be.


Appearance

Makoto generally dresses up in whatever sits the most comfortable. He isn't someone who cares all too much about appearance. His shirts are oftentimes slightly oversized, with more often than not a picture related to a video game or anime printed on it. On normal days, he wears a pair of jeans or some baggy jogging pants and a pair of black and white sneakers. Of course he wears his school uniform to school.

As far as his physical appearance goes, he is pretty short and thin. His face got a rather boyish but not quite feminine look to it. Heartshaped and big, blue eyes. A small nose and a round chin. His cheek bones are not at all pronounced and he's still got a bit of that babyfat on his cheeks. There is a mop of messy, medium length brown hair at the top of his head and he oftentimes gives the impression that he's tired.


Hobbies

Makoto is a true otaku, with a love for anime and manga. He prefers spending as much of his free time at home as he possibly can. If he's not indulging himself into watching anime or reading manga, you can bet he's playing video games on his PS4 or an MMO on his desktop. His hobbies just got nerd written all over it. But despite this, he does enjoy the odd stroll through the park and has the occassional desire to just go out and enjoy the sun on a bench with a light novel in his lap.
