After my sessions of therapy here in the UK, I have a particular routine. I go to Mount St. Helens up in Washington State.

I start from a distance and then I slowly move up towards it.
Sometimes I soar.
Sometimes I take it slow and move up where I can, taking stock of my surroundings each time.
But I always end the same way.

I stand on the edge of the Crater Glacier atop it. I look out at the horizon, where the forests and hills merge into the deep blue above like a far away ocean. I look down into the valley below me and at everything around me, there's no one else but me in this place.
It's mine in that moment.
I take a couple of minutes up there to rest my mind and let whatever residual worries I have drift away.

And that's the beauty of Google Earth VR.
