KHALIL (whispering): Allah. Al-Faris? On a Friday night? How'd he swing that?

MAHMOUD (whispering): I think he's lying.

Al-Batemani takes out his phone and shows them a picture of his oil rig.

KHALIL (suddenly enthused): What's that, a new phone?

AL-BATEMANI: New rig. What do you think?

Mahmoud examines the picture of the oil rig carefully.

MAHMOUD: Whoa. Very nice. Take a look.

He hands the phone to Tariq.

AL-BATEMANI: Just commissioned it yesterday.

TARIQ: Good size.

AL-BATEMANI: That's the latest model. And it's equipped with the latest technology, called Gulfstream.

MAHMOUD (envious): Gulfstream?

TARIQ: It is very impressive, Al-Batemani. But that's nothing.

He shows them a picture on his phone.

TARIQ: Look at this.

They all lean forward to inspect it.

KHALIL: That's really impressive.

Al-Batemani clenches his fists beneath the table, trying to control his anxiety.

TARIQ: Latest model with Vantage technology.

(Turning to Al-Batemani)

What do you think?

AL-BATEMANI (barely able to breathe, his voice a croak): Impressive. Very nice. Let's see Amir's rig.

Tariq shows them a picture on his phone: "AMIR, SAUDI ARAMCO, OIL AND GAS EXPLORATION." Al-Batemani swallows, speechless. The sound in the room dies down and all we hear is a faint heartbeat as Al-Batemani stares at the magnificent rig.

AL-BATEMANI (V.O.): Look at that sleek and modern design. The tasteful size of it. Ya Allah, it even has the latest drilling technology...

His hand shaking, Al-Batemani lifts up the phone and stares at the picture until it fills the screen. He puts the phone down. The sound returns to normal.

HUSSAIN: Is something wrong? Al-Batemani...you're sweating.
