Bi-weekly 010: 6 connections (Won by:Mevious)
Current stage: The competition is over

This Bi-weekly challenge
This challenge was submitted by: Donderbus
The idea for this challenge is to do the following:
-For this next challenge I want you to make a test with no more than 6 links between elements (visible or invisible).

If a button unlocks the exit, that’s a link. If 6 buttons must be simultaneously activated to unlock the exit, that’s 6 links, and nothing else in the puzzle can be linked. Connecting two buttons for different purposes (such as both activating and reversing a funnel) counts as two links. Connecting the same button to two different outputs, such as activating both a funnel and a light bridge, counts as two links.
Additional mechanisms behind the scenes (like timers and logic gates), for the purposes of this challenge, ANY LINK in your puzzle counts against the limit.

if you're still confused: just imagine that every time you connect an element to another element, whether or not you select to show/hide the antlines, you can only have a total of 6 different connections. Any item that is just enabled by default without any button or so attached does NOT count as a link, obviously.

- Except for conversion gel all other elements are allowed.

And we have a winner!

Mevious won this competition...
...with a nice total score of 17 points.

This weeks runner ups are: srs bsnss who came second with 9 points, and camerson1313 who came third with 8 points.

Mevious, you are entitled to give us the next weeks challenge. Can you reply here before the end of sunday GMT +0, and tell us what you'd like to see in the next competition?

This puzzle has gone through a bunch of iterations in the past two weeks, but has hopefully changed for the better.

Time to judge maps but first, play them.

My top 3:
1. Mevious's "Minimal Connections" - I am underpracticed with how useful blue gel can be. You never cease to amaze me.
2. camerson1313's "Plan" - Clever solution but hard-to-follow logic and potential trapping.
3. srs bsnss's "Six Section Connection" - Laser-fizzler puzzles are the bane of my existance but this one is better than most. It isn't that original but OK. I've seen better from you.

The rest:
4. eMbAh's "Humbug" - I never used the two caged areas near the cube dropper. Blue gel is more useful than you think in combination with the excursion funnel once you disable the fizzler with the cube.
5. ƦɅƉ∑LIƬE's "Thinking With Addons" - Just plain hard to see what you are doing.
6. DeathWish808's "Elasticity City (Advanced)" - Too finicky.

The first time I played Mevious's map before submission, I found all sorts of exploits. Let's see how it stands in its current revised form.

Good job!
*EDIT: Replayed through all puzzles again and made a minor adjustment. Sue me. 2nd & 3rd were a struggle to decide over, but I went with the one that had the most depth. Humbug was a clear winner IMHO and was the easiest vote I've made to date. Everyone else was fairly close as runner-ups, but..... I'll stfu...

1) eMbAh - humbug
2) Mevious - minimal connections
3) srs bsnss - six section connection

All maps were good, but here's my vote:

1) DeathWish808 - Elasticity City (ADVANCED) v1.5.1 - has only a single required connection and yet a good puzzle (pedstal button isn't required)
2) Mevious - Minimal Connections - clever puzzle, but second place because the version submitted to the contest can be broken allowing a large part to be skipped
3) srs bsnss - Six Section Connection - very nice visuals and simple puzzle
