Greetings, and welcome to Touhou Giveaways Steamgifts group!

What was Touhou Giveaways?

Unlike the name suggests, the theme and focus of the group was not centered on Touhou - We were an inclusive giveaway group with all kind of members with various different hobbies and passions; all were more than welcome to join and enjoy the many benefits of being a member of one of the most complex giveaway groups on Steamgifts. Being more than just a simple giveaway group, we strongly encouraged participating in the community by joining the group chat, or participating in gaming sessions or giveaway events we host, although it was not a requirement for joining the group.

Touhou Giveaways was a group where all, members and staff alike, strived to provide the very best gifting experience possible. Since its founding on February 18th 2015, the group has been in a constant state of development - eventually, we were proud to say that Touhou Giveaways was better than ever, and was still improving every day, and with every of our members' and staff awesome efforts and suggestions to make the group a truly unique experience for all. We enjoyed great company, and new members had no trouble adapting to the friendly, relaxed attitude we liked to maintain within the group.

The group offered a variety of innovative features, most importantly being the implementation of a semi-autonomous bot which ensured that the entire group was running smoothly. From managing members' giveaways to calculating, transferring and awarding points to members, ArchiBot took care of the manual labour so that you could focus on what really matters - the Touhou Giveaways community activity. In addition to that, we had a website, an active chat, a userscript, and even a shop where you could spend a special currency earned through group activity to decorate your profile within the website! Those were just a few benefits that our users could make use of.

As previously announced, Touhou Giveaways system is now deactivated. All past members are now eligible for re-invite, which is also something we've done as part of ArchiBot for people on their friendlist. Goodbye 2hus!

Touhou Giveaways Sunset - 2024-02-15 (repost)

Dear 2hus!

Everything good eventually comes to an end. Due to a lot of internal and external factors, but mainly decreasing popularity and core staff members changing priorities, we've decided to set 2024-02-15 as the closing date of the group.

What it means

Effective immediately, AFK rule no longer applies and you're no longer expected to create/win giveaways each 2 months.
No new members are accepted starting today, till 2024-02-15.
The points system still applies and will be running till 2024-02-15, which will be the last day of Touhou Giveaways system as a whole. Until then you still can (and will) be kicked if you join giveaways you're not eligible for, points-wise.
After that date, the gifting system that we've established until now will be shut down, which means the website, userscript, ArchiBot tracking giveaways, statistics, achievements and everything connected with previously mentioned, will be no longer operative.
The group will stay available on Steam and SteamGifts for those people that would like to participate, whether in chat or doing giveaways like they used to, just without points calculation or other rules anymore, also after the end date.
Every past member that earned 20P or more in total (passed initial requirements), will be eligible to rejoin the group starting from 2024-02-15, with no additional conditions or requirements.

I'd like to say big thanks to all existing and past members thanks to whom the group could shine in glory and improve across all those years. The end date isn't a coincidence, it's exactly ⑨ years since its foundation in 2015-02-15. We've managed to build great things, but like with everything great, it has to phase out eventually

I wasn't the best member, but still tried, lol.
