No Spore Online For Users For 2013 And Beyond

So after a tiresome ordeal I've learned that for users who make an account with Spore now they won't be able to access online. For everyone else they'll be just fine, but not for newer players. EA has plans to shut down the Spore servers and this is just one phase of that. Just wanted to let people who recently bought the game know.

But we will still be able to play offline, right ? I don't really care about online features, like, other ppl creations and stuff.

Of course you can play offline. If you couldn't play online and offline, well, you wouldn't be able to play the game. I doubt even Steam would be selling it then.

So whats the problem then ? It's not a multiplayer game anyway... Who cares if they shut down their servers, if the game still works.

Half of the features listed on the Spore Steam page cannot be used. Half of the features.

You will not be able to share creations with other ppl or "explore other ppl galaxies", whatever that even means, don't know what that is because i never seen it, so i don't care. It is a singleplayer game.

*facepalm* This is not a plan to phase out servers. No where on that page does it say that. Maxis says that they are trying to figure out why this is happening. Don't be a conspiracy theorist that jumps to conclusions.

Wow. I literally just bought it. Refund? Not possible. Offline? Yeah, but where is the fun in seeing other peoples wacky creations? Make your own? Im not the best creature creator out there. I agree with doing it if they are going to make Spore 2, but they are not, so screw EA.
